Pizza Hut Restaurants

Turner Rise Retail Park, Turner Rd, Mile End, Colchester CO4 5JR, UK – 01206 546545

Just loved it. The restaurant was full as you would expect on a Saturday at lunch time. Staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. Service was fast and the cola endless. Two large pizzas with all the salad you can eat plus all the cola you can drink cost just over £40. Not cheap by any means but for a treat just right.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Polite and friendly staff. Shame it doesn't really match the food and cleanliness. Have always come of a lunchtime regularly. I always have the lunch meal deal and always found the pizzas to be quite dry and not really very appealing. Very basic. The salad is the best bit. Staff seem to really catch up oncr customers finish and leave to get tables cleaned and prepared for the next customer. Find they do struggle when its busy.

Latest update: Persuaded to go as son wanted to for his birthday. Was seated after 10-15 minutes, and enjoyed a lovely meal. As you can see from my below initial review, customer service can be a bit hit and miss. First review: After being left at the door like a tool for 10 minutes (granted, it was busy) with two children close to crying, the waitress tried to seat the group behind me, then said she'd try and fit us in. There were 4 tables vacant at this stage, and when asked if I'd booked (I hadn't, fair enough) the tone changed to condescension. The real kicker was 'I can seat you in 40 minutes?' with small kids who have clearly already passed the threshold of their short patience?!? She seemed surprised when we immediately left.

Bit pricey for a small town, although their pizzas are fantastic
